Totally Vain is the product of breeding 2 of Gubbera Park's best Thoroughbreds to eachother. Totally Vain is by Palladium, who is a Triple Crown Winner on the ABRB, a multi G1 winner and sire of many race winners, with progeny earnings $1.3million+! Palladium was one of Sky's On Fire's old rivals. He is by the Australian Top Sire Rubiton, who was a G1 winner and Highweight Horse of The Year. Rubiton is by the Australian Champion Sire, Century, and out of Ruby, dam of 6 race winners. Palladium's Dam is Wicked Smile, a G3 winning mare and dam of two race winners. She is a daughter of the great stallion Vain, who is a Champion Sire and broodmare sire, siring 44 stakes winners. He was also induced in the Australian Hall of Fame for his great accomplishments as a sire. Wicked Smile is out of the blacktype producer Rain Shadow, a granddaughter of Star Kingdom through her sire Todman. Rain Shadow's dam was Rain Mist, who was a granddaughter of the incredible stallion Hyperion.
Totally Vain's dam is the Champion 3yo Filly and G1 winning mare Totally Naked. She too, was a rival of Sky's On Fire, a worthy 'enemy' as she in fact beat Sky quite a few times. She was one of the two horses to EVER beat him on the track (the other was our own Dance With Ravens). Totally Naked was by the tough and honest G1 winning runner, Adam. Adam's sire was Rubiton, Australian Highweight HoTY, Top Sire and G1 winner. Totally Naked's dam is the great mare Sunline. She is a multi G1 winner with $11 million in earnings, Australia's highest money earner! She earned many HoTY titles in both Australia and New Zealand. She was induced in the Australian Hall of Fame, and upon retiring she produced 2 race winners. Sunline's sire was Desert Sun, who proved himself as a very good dam sire. He is also the maternal grandsire of the multi G1 winning mare Black Caviar.
Totally Vain has incredible bloodlines imported all the way from Australia. We have very high hopes for her on the racetrack, and she will commence her racing carreer in the 2013 season. It will be a while before she is available for breeding, and we are not sure if we want to offer her to the public or if we want to keep her to breed to our stallions exclusively. We hope to cross her with either Sky's On Fire or one of his sons in the future.
