SMS Totally Vain
It's been a long time since I've last updated the racing stables! Lots of new horses have been added to the race string and have started their racing carreers.
Our newest filly, SMS Totally Vain, has won her Maiden race and is now entered in a Class race. After that she will move up to the Group races. We hope for a very good racing carreer for her, as we have plans to breed a foal from her and Sky's On Fire in the future. I am secretly hoping for her to get through the season undefeated, but that might be a little too much to ask from her now :)
Sky's On Fire's progeny have been doing FANTASTIC! He has now sired many Group race winners and even G1 placed foals! And that is only from 2 crops of his foals (only the 2011 and 2012 years so far have been on the track). I am very excited that Sky turned out to be such a great sire :)
Black Heavens has won his first races this season as well. He is now well on his way to becoming just as good a racer as his sire. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will make the 2013 Champion Mature Stallion award! That would count as another step towards the Sire Hall Of Fame for Sky's On Fire. Sky's daughter, SMS Cruising Home, has been doing well too, so there is hope for her winning Champion Mature Mare this year (but nothing's certain yet of course - there are many very good horses on the track this year!).
So that was it for updates so far. The May Racing Carnivale is coming up soon too, and after that the 3yo Derbies (a new feature on the All Breeds Racing Board this year) and the Triple Cup in August/September. Looking forward to the rest of the season!
